Sixth Birthday Party
“Magic Fred performed at my son’s 6th birthday, and he had both the kids and parents entertained the entire time. The way he interacts with the kids is hilarious and his magic is amazing! It’s been weeks since the party, and the kids are still talking about it. Magic Fred really made my son’s birthday unforgettable.”

I can't say enough GREAT things about Magic Fred!!
We had about 20 kiddos, ages 3-14, for a house party and Fred's amazing show kept them all entertained (adults included!) for a full hour. So much fun and so many positive comments from parents and kids alike. Highly recommend!!

Party Tips
-
It's best to start the show around 30 minutes after the guests are scheduled to arrive, giving me time to set up the secrets before they enter. Additionally, it allows guests some time to settle in and get comfortable before the show begins. Which can help make the experience more enjoyable for everyone.
-
• The ideal performance area would be 10 feet wide by 7 feet deep. With my back to the wall if possible so the kids can’t see the secrets behind my backdrop prior to start time.
• I offer a 8-foot, and 15-foot curtain that’s adjustable to fit in almost any location. These backdrops are free-standing; no need to hang them on the wall.
• No worries, if you don’t have enough room for the backdrop it will still be an amazing show.

Have a backup plan in case the weather turns bad and you need to relocate. For outdoor shows a shady, level performance area with my back to a building or Tree-line works best. In order protect my show from the wind and keep my secrets hidden from audience. I understand these options are not always available just recommended.
-
Prior to the party date. Please take a look around the yard and find a shady spot. The shade moves fast! If the show is from 3 to 4 PM look for the best spot at 3:30 PM the day prior so you can let me know the best place to set up when I arrive.
-
The kids will see the secrets if they watch me set up the show. If possible, I would recommend keeping them busy with something else.
-
Please feel free to walk around so you can get pictures from all the different angles. You're even welcome to join me on stage to get the best reactions.

I suggest placing balloons outside your home to let everybody know that they have found the right place.
-
Decorating the house with just a few ballons and streamers can go a long way to create a party atmosphere.
Game Ideas
-
Players are divided into two equal teams and form a line, which stand side by side. The balloon is given to the front player in each team, who passes it backwards over his or her head to the next player. The balloon is passed backwards along the line to the last player, who runs to the front of the line and then passes the balloon through their legs to the player behind. The teams keep doing this until they end up back in their original position. Whoever gets there first is the winner.
-
Gently tie a string onto a donut and hang it from the ceiling. Each player gets their own doughnut. Play with 4 players at once. Each player holds their hands behind their back while trying to take bites out of the hanging donut. Whoever can eat the most of the donut in a limited amount of time is the winner. Each player gets their donut to eat after the round is over.
-
The aim of the game is to roll a tennis ball through the ’goal’ formed by the gaps between the kids in a circle. The kids sit an arms length away from each other on the floor. The ’goal’ is the area to the right of each child. The players try to roll a tennis ball through the other players ’goals’. The other players must defend their ’goal’ with their right hand.
-
Players dance around the room to music. When the music stops the players must stop dancing and freeze in that position. If any of the players move, they are disqualified. The music is turned on again quickly and continues until there is only 1 player left.
-
One person is the leader and the rest of the group follows the leaders’ orders. The leader gives actions for the others to follow such as touching their nose. If the leader says “Simon says” before the action, the group must do it. If the leader does not say “Simon says,” first then anybody who does the action is out. The leader can go quickly to try and mix up the other players.
-
This is a good icebreaker game to play at the start of the party when guests arrive. Each player gets a piece of paper, and they draw an abstract squiggle on it. Players then exchange papers, and they have to use the squiggle to come up with a drawing. This is a non-competition game, and players can easily join in at any time.
-
Players sit in a circle on the floor. The first player thinks up any sentence to say. That person whispers their sentence into the ear of the person on their left. That player then whispers it to the next person. This goes on around the circle until the last person. The last person then says what the sentence is and it’s compared to what the original was. It’s usually quite different.
-
Players line up along one wall. On the word “Go” players make their way as slowly as possible towards the other wall. Players are disqualified if they stop moving, or go in any direction but towards the other wall. The last player to reach the wall is the winner.
-
One player is chosen to be Mr.Wolf and stands with their back to the rest of the group from some distance away. After each step, somebody from the group says “What time is it Mr.Wolf?” The wolf gives any time, and the group takes another step forward. When the wolf wishes, instead of saying a time the wolf says “Lunch time!” and quickly turns towards the group to chase the others. Whoever is caught becomes the wolf.

Yes, depending on location. Though in most cases there's no additional charges.

I have worked very hard to establish my business on integrity. If you're asking this question hopefully my online reputation and reviews bring you some peace of mind. However if I miss a show due to illness you will be contacted directly and given as much of a notice as possible to prepare for my absence. At that time I will attempt to find alternate dates or help you find a replacement if possible with one of my magician friends. I realize that running late or missing a show impacts not only your overall satisfaction, but also my future business. Please keep in mind that this is a full time business for me and I take it very seriously. I do my best to communicate with you throughout your entire experience, even if that means calling ahead to prepare you for the worst, which is very rare.
-
If you need to cancel the magic show prior to the performance date please allow as much notice as possible. You will have the option of rescheduling to another date and time that accommodates both of our schedules.
-
No, I'm more interested in providing you with the BEST magic show possible. If you are looking for this option I recommend hiring a professional balloon artist. Although if you're looking for a professional magician I would love to hear from you.
-
Sorry no live animals. Though I do have lots of life like stuffed animals in my show. I’ve even had parents approach me asking if they were real. So don't worry I won't be stuffing any cute animals in small boxes. 😂
-
Theres no limit to the amount of kids, though prices do vary depending on the size of your audience.
-
I specialize in shows designed for children 12 and under, as they tend to be the most engaged and entertained by my performances. That being said, I always strive to make my shows enjoyable for audiences of all ages. While teenagers may be a tougher crowd to please and 2 years old won't understand most of what is happening. I guarantee that everyone in your mixed audience will have fun and leave with a smile!
-
It is never too early or too late to check for availability. The sooner you book the more likely it will be that you receive your desired date and time! You can view my upcoming events link to check availability.
-
I can set the show up in 35 minutes after I get my props to the set up location. If parking is far from the performance, and if there's flights of stairs to climb. I will definitely need extra time and a helping hand.
The space should be cleared before the time of arrival. Additional 30 minutes is needed to pack up the show.
This includes setting up the backdrop, placing the sound system, and getting the show ready. I will arrive at least 50 minutes before the start of the party to set up.
-
I bring everything I need for the show. I even have a battery sound system for outdoor events.
-
Yes. I can put a temporary hold to insure a date doesn't get scooped up by someone else while you are waiting to make your decision. Holds are usually good for 24-hours. I can occasionally extend holds if needed. Weekends book up fast.
-
No, no, no, don’t do that to me. I can entertain the kids, but I can’t control all situations. A little help is always appreciated.
-
Occasionally, on a very nice day, I can perform outdoors. However, indoors is always the better option. Outdoor elements such as wind, extreme heat, and other ambiances can be distracting to your guests, and will prevent them from enjoying the show to their fullest potential.
