WELCOME TO THE SHOW!
HERE'S WHAT TO EXPECT.
Important information to follow!
This will help make your virtual events a success.
⬇️
I’ll be in touch soon with a confirmation email. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any further questions or concerns.
If you do not receive a confirmation email from me within 24 hours of booking, please check your spam mail and contact me ASAP if there’s a problem.
You can reach me at fred@magicfredshow.com
You will be receiving a zoom link invite you can share with friends and family. (Please let me know if you would like me to join your Zoom meeting as a guest appearance)
My Zoom Account has a 100 person login limit.
I will make you co host so your screen will show up next to mine on the first page during the show for audience viewing. If there’s lots of people logging in zoom will only show a few people on the first page starting with host and co host.
You will receive payment options in a separate email.
Timing
I will start the zoom meeting approximately 5 or 10 minutes early to meet you and start letting everyone in. (Please share your Zoom screen name so I can let you in first.)
30 minute - Magic show ending with the birthday kid magician banner appearing.
10 minute - Group Magic lesson with household items or optional goody bags. (Recommended for kids 5 and up)
5 minute - Group "Happy Birthday" sing along with a little time at the end for goodbyes.
40 minute - I can offer a longer magic show If you would like to skip the magic lesson. (Please ask for this option)
During this time you can have your child blow out candles eat cake or whatever you have planned works for me. Some customers just do the group singalong. With Zoom it can be a little awkward if your child eats cake in front of all their friends.
If I have a show scheduled after yours I will need to start on time and leave meeting after the 45 minute party. This will give me time to get ready for my next show.
Do you need more time for your event? I can join your zoom meeting as a guest. (Just be sure you have the paid Zoom account so you don’t get disconnected early)
Example of Timing:
I will join Zoom approximately 1:50 to 1:55 PM to meet you and start letting everyone in (Please share your Zoom screen name so I can let you in first.)
2 PM Magic Show starts on time. Your guest can join late if needed! I will set zoom account to allow late comers to enter automatically.
2:30 PM Magic Lesson with household items or goody bags
2:40 PM I will lead a Group "Happy Birthday" sing along.
2:45 PM I will leave the zoom meeting and leave it open for couple minutes for everyone to say goodbye.
3:50 PM I will need to end meeting and sign into my 4 o’clock show.
If you need more time for your event I can join your zoom meeting as a guest.
To ensure your party goes as smooth as possible:
We will be using the video platform Zoom with a special code and password for your party to prevent uninvited guests.
Update your Zoom account to the latest version for the best experience
Be sure to work out all the kinks in advance — technical glitches are always to be expected, but if you test in advance and make sure everyone is clear on how to log in, things will be smooth sailing from there!
birthday party magician!
Please send a headshot picture of your child for birthday banner. I can make most any picture work. I will do all the editing, cropping and printing for the magic show.
Star of the show
Please send a body picture or I can use the head shot from the banner for a magical appearance in my book. This helps personalize the show, and makes your child feel like the star. I can make whatever image you have work.
Note: If there are two Birthday children it would be great if you had a picture of them together.
Magic Lesson
These are some items Magic Fred will be using during the magic lesson if you didn’t purchase goody bags.
Look around your house and see what you can find and join him for a fun magic lesson. No worries if you can’t find everything you’ll still learn some fun magic.
2 Smaller coins penny dime or similar size.
1 Bigger coin quarter half dollar or similar size.
Pencil
Paper clip (please straighten for magic lesson)
One Dollar Bill or any note will work. A piece of paper that is similar in size will work.
Recommended for kids 5 and up
A little help from the adults always makes things easier for the younger kids.
Note: kids can even use play money to replace one dollar bill and coins.
For the ultimate zoom experience
If you have two computers you can watch the show in gallery view to see all the kids and speaker view on the additional device for a front row seat to the show.
I can make you co host so your screen will show up next to mine on all the guest computers. If there’s lots of people logging in zoom it will only show a few screens on first page starting with host and co host from the audiences view.
Note: If you have two devices close to each other please make sure one of them is muted to ensure there’s no feedback.
Magic Fred Easy Magic Kit
Please keep it a secret if possible.
Picture the look of delight on your child’s face when they play a mind reading game live on Zoom and win the kit. To add to the excitement the magic kit vanishes in a cool way from my show and magically ends up at your house.
When the kit arrives in the mail please keep it a secret and find a nearby hiding spot for the big reveal during the show. Please don’t forget to fill me in on the hiding spot.
Recommended for kids 6 and older
Note: Please make sure your child doesn't open the mail and spoil the surprise.
MAGIC FRED’S CUSTOM GOODY BAGs
Have kids do a fun drive by your house to pick up a Goody Bags for the Virtual Birthday Party and wave to birthday kid.
We can send a box of magic wand goody bags with free shipping one location.
Not a bunch of junk! Really cool magic tricks they can do with their friends.
Virtual Magic Lesson this will replace kids having to find items around the house.
10 Minute magic lessons with cool goody bag items.
Guaranteed way to put a smile on all the children’s faces.
Recommended for kids 5 and up
Note: All goody bags come complete with easy to understand instructions. Some customers order goody bags and request to have the magic lesson with household items. This is a great option if you’re worried that some of the kids may not have received a goody bag. (Please be sure to let me know what works best for you.)
Fun Zoom Birthday Party ideas
Have everyone make a sign and decorate it with markers, stickers, etc. on a regular piece of paper for the zoom party. Then hold their sign in front of the screen while we sing happy birthday, leaving the perfect opportunity for a screenshot!
After the Magic Show you can set up a new meeting for kids by creating a free Zoom account. So you can invite all your guests to eat dessert and have fun chatting over yummy food.
Kids may also enjoy playing freeze dance, kahoot, and other group activities.
